Second Summer Jam On Tap

<p>The second Van Alstyne Downtown Summer Jam, hosted by the VA Chamber of Commerce, is right around the corner.
</p>

<p>Circle Thursday, July 15, on your calendars, and if you're creative you might want to add a musical note on the calendar as a subtle reminder.
</p>

<p>The headliner for the evening will be Morris McCann. 
</p>

<p>"If you were looking forward to hearing him at last Saturday's fireworks show (McCann couldn't set up due to rain), here's your chance on Thursday," said chamber Vice President Kim DeMasters.
</p>

<p>As always, the Summer Jam will be at Dorothy Fielder Park and will start at 7 p.m.
</p>

<p>Residents can come downtown early, grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant, then head to the park with lawn chairs or blankets. Attendees can join their friends and neighbors and can expect to have some good old-fashioned fun.The final Downtown Summer Jam of the season will be Aug. 19.</p>
