VAPD Officer Arrests Man

<p>Van Alstyne police made one arrest during an otherwise slow week for the department.
</p>

<p>Officer Chad Vessels stopped a vehicle shortly before 3 a.m. last Wednesday on southbound U.S. 75.
</p>

<p>The driver, a 27-year-old Denison man, was arrested and charged with a first offense of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.
</p>

<p>Officers also responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 1000 block of Greywood.
</p>

<p>A window on a home was damaged with an air rifle.
</p>

<p>Also during the last week, Van Alstyne police:
</p>

<p> Responded to nine incidents.
</p>

<p> Received 187 calls for service.</p>
