The Class 1A-2A, All-Texomaland football teams for 2009 were released last Sunday and the Howe Bulldogs were represented by two underclassmen, which should bode well for new coach Cory Crane.

Center Cody Mercer was selected to the second team offense and Mercer was also one of the leading tacklers from his linebacker position for the Howe defense.

Sophomore punter Alex Torres also received a second team selection to the all area team. In addition to his kicking duties, Torres was also a leading receiver in the Bulldog passing attack.

Congratulations to these two outstanding Bulldog players.
