Remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine produce flash floods in Grayson County

Heavy rains falling on saturated ground caused water to rise Wednesday afternoon, closing road and stalling vehicles. There were no reports of any severe injuries or flooding inside structures.

Heavy rains began causing accidents shortly before noon. Emergency workers began blocking roads in the county. Grayson County Office of Emergency Management reminded drivers not to "drive around barricades or move them," on its Facebook page.

Several departments reported successful water rescues throughout the day. While rains eased, officials will keep many of the barricades in place as rain is expected to continue throughout the night and into Thursday.
