Former Van Alstyne athlete Suzy Prikryl competed in just her second indoor track and field meet in Lubbock recently and got a second place finish in the high jump. Prikryl, who goes to the University of North Texas in Denton, had her best collegiate jump, clearing the bar at 5-6 . The Mean Green track team returns to Lubbock this Saturday to compete in the Texas Tech Open.

Howe graduate Amber Murray has earned her second Player of the Week award in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Murray, who plays at Western State College of Colorado, scored 32 points in her game against Western New Mexico. That was the highest individual point total in the Conference this season and followed a 25-point game Murray had against Mesa State. She is second in the league in scoring this, her senior season.
