Miller to Play Tennis at LeTourneau

Chance Miller, a 2010 Van Alstyne graduate, will take his athletic talents to LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas to continue his tennis career.

The Yellow Jackets, members of the American Southwest Conference, offered Miller after his outstanding senior season which was capped by his second trip to the regional tennis finals in mixed doubles.

Miller will study electrical engineering at LeTourneau and hopes to continue his basketball playing in the intramural sports in his freshmen year. He was the District 10-3A Newcomer of the Year and first team all-district pick for basketball and also garnered All-Texomaland recognition in 2010.

Miller and Cassey Kisloski won their second consecutive Mixed Doubles district championship in 2010 and

advanced to regionals for the second year. Miller had made it to the regional level in Boys Doubles as a sophomore. He was the team's Most Valuable Player in 2009 and shared that honor in 2010. He was named to the all-district tennis team in each of his four seasons' as a member of the Panther varsity.

Miller also had a successful golf career with the Panthers, being named MVP for the past two seasons.

Chance is the son of Tony and Malissa Miller and the grandson of Tom and Nell Miller of Van Alstyne and Clarence and Joann McMillan of Waco.
